Description
🧙 Gandalf the Black
Armed with his Staff of terror and flaming sword 🗡
đź’Ť Inspired by The Lord of the Rings
If Gandalf had taken the One Ring for himself—perhaps seizing it from Frodo in Bag End or later succumbing to temptation—he would initially wield its immense power with the sincere intent of doing good. As a mighty Maia, his enhanced strength would likely allow him to swiftly overthrow Sauron, crushing Mordor's armies and establishing a new order across Middle-earth. At first, his rule might appear benevolent: protecting the weak, enforcing peace, and uplifting beauty and knowledge through force of will. Yet the Ring's nature ensures corruption. Over time, Gandalf's desire to do good—especially his pity for the small and vulnerable—would twist into tyrannical control. He would become a far more terrible Dark Lord than Sauron, as J.R.R. Tolkien himself suggested, imposing his vision of righteousness with such overwhelming and deadly power that resistance would be futile, ultimately enslaving or destroying the very free peoples he once defended. Middle-earth would fall into a shadowed age of enforced "good" that leaves nothing free or unmarred.
Best printed in resin and glued to appropriate sized base.
