Description
We held a friendly office competition that we began to refer to as "Sharkvivor". After looking around for a bit and stumbling upon the Beefy Shark (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:229538) model, I knew what I had to do; scale it up, and make the best damn trophy ever 3d printed by mankind!
I had originally planned to design it to be the exact maximum size that could be printed as 1 solid piece in my Ultimaker 3 Extended. However, during the design process I got a little carried away and had to split it into 3 main pieces to be able to print it.

Support Removal
I removed a large amount of the PVA support material by hand being careful not to get too close to the printed surface. After that, Beefy Shark went for a swim in my kitchen sink for ~2 days with me draining the water and replacing with fresh warm water every few hours.rnrnBeefy Shark likes to float which makes removing the PVA that much more difficult. With some zip ties and a hitch ball, I was able to keep him under water.
Drying
The model took on a little bit of water during the PVA removal process so it was necessary to let it dry out for ~1 day, rotating it on a stack of paper towels every so often to allow the water to drain out of the crevices.
Assembly
Assembly is pretty straightforward. I super glued everything together with Gorilla Glue Super Glue Gel.rnrnKnowing I was going to paint the top, I did mask off the base and cut out the hole beforehand to make things easier.
Paint
I used some gold spray paint to give the trophy that necessary gold look. I had printed it using gold PLA but wasn't impressed with the gold color.
