Description
This mount attaches 1" PVC legs to a solar panel at a 45 degree angle.
I use these on cheap rigid solar panels in the backyard to add lightweight stands that can be easily rotated and moved as the angle of the sun changes.
The screw hole diameter is 7mm, with room for a screw head of up to 12.5mm. I use 1/4" screws, M6 would probably also work. I use a little thread locker to keep the nuts tight. Use a washer between the nut and the solar panel, and you can optionally also use rubber washers give the legs a little flex.
Print in PETG for outdoor use. 15% infill, no supports. You can choose between printing with either the top or the angled side on the bed; I like to use the angled side for a cleaner screw hole.
The .scad file is included if you want to adjust the screw size, tighten or loosen the PVC fit, or widen the model.
