Description
Based on bambula's model, I just made some minor changes to permit the use of 1mm core cable & improved cable routing. This adapter allows you to use wires and a combination of AA, AAA or another 3V power source instead of the CR2450 button cell battery.
With this adapter, there is much less of a need to replace the tiny drained button cell batteries. Some very mild wiring is required (hobbyist level) and there is no need for soldering etc.
Instructions:
Pass the positive cable with sheath/covering into the tunnelled area right through the adapter. At the opposite end, pull enough cable so the cable will bend around the side of the adapter and back to the positive cable where it entered initially, live a little slack. Remove the sheath from the positive cable from the exit point, guide around the adapter and tie off around itself at the entry point.
Pass the negative cable into the tunnelled area but follow the slope. Cut the sheath off from where the cable reaches the flat plate, and then wind the negative cable abound the plate, flatten as you go. Secure by winding where you can.
Print Tips:
I used PETG, no infill is ideal, and I would suggest the use of layer height of 0.15-0.20mm
