Description
The original Filament Storage 2026 desiccant bin is designed to be assembled once and not come apart again. This works as long as
(a) the option is available to dry the desiccant inside the bin, and
(b) the part is printed from a heat-resistant polymer.
This remix introduces a desiccant bin that features a slide-to-open back, allowing for easy access to the desiccant itself. Damp desiccant can quickly be replaced and dried without having to worry about the bin's heat resistance. This allows to print the bin from any material (e.g. PLA, PETG, ASA). The lid snaps in place firmly.
Note: The gcode information in the header is for v2 and utilizing PrusaSlicer's "balanced" print profile.
Version 3
Ventilation holes along the sides.
The lid is the same as for v2.
Version 2
Filleted corners for an easier fit into the cerial container's lid recess.
Catch mechanism redesigned to be more robust and easier to print.
Version 1
No longer available as it had issues that got fixed in v2.
