Description
Design Concept: The goal of this project was to create a functional safety device that fully utilizes the properties of flexible filaments like TPU or TPE. Instead of a solid block of rubber, I used a hollow-cell architecture. These internal "air pockets" act as mechanical springs, providing a soft cushion upon impact.
Why it works: The "Dragon Armor" structure compresses easily, absorbing energy that a solid print would otherwise transfer to the object. It’s perfect for sharp desk corners, workshop tables, or low-hanging shelves.
Printing & Installation:
Material: Must be printed in TPU (Prusament TPU is ideal).
Supports: Designed to be printed flat on the bed without any supports.
Installation: Use double-sided mounting tape on the internal flat surfaces for a secure fit on any table thickness.
