Overview

There are several versions of the models; to make a booklet you need 4 parts, Book Cover, Book Back, Lever, and Several Tabs. Pay attention to which levers go with which covers. The book backs go with every lever. The decorative books do require a raft to print, but the plain books can be printed with no supports.

Assembly

  1. Print the book back, book cover, and the correct lever according to the book cover. Ex: Book Back, Cover Filament Hinge, and Lever Filament Hinge, all of which do not require supports.

  2. Attach Lever:

    1. When attaching the lever, make sure that the notch is on the outside facing you.

    2. To do this you must have an unprinted piece of filament, a .15in dowel rod or skewer, or you can print the snap fit.

      1. For the former 2, you must insert the hinge through the side of the front cover through the lever, and into the end. I would recommend gluing the dowel and melting the filament to hold it in place.

      2. For the snap fit, just lightly press the lever into the slot (may need adjusting for your specific printer's expansion.

  3. Prepare a hinge, I recommend using a 1/4in dowel rod cut to 7 in, but if that does not work, there is a hinge stl, but note that it will be weak.

  4. Slide the knuckles of the cover and the back together and insert a 1/4in dowel or a 6mm dowel (slightly loose), all the way to the end.

  5. Glue the dowel hinge into the end of the book BACK.

  6. Enjoy!
