Sanding disk for drill using old orbital sander pads

This is simply a sanding disk on which you glue sanding paper.

The size is such that you can re-use orbital sander's pads (5", 8-holes, velcro-backed) for which velcro failed but are still otherwise good. You simply cut out the part inside the dust-sucking holes (see picture).

You just need to insert the proper "thing" as an axis/hub to be able to use that in a drill; nuts and bolts would do; I had some kind of "standoff", so I used that. You can also just use is as-is manually, but that's not the point really.

You can see on the pictures I used my design of universal joint (look for my other designs). That way I don't have to bother too much at being exactly at right angle with the surface being sanded. Cool, I recommend it since it works great, but not essential.
