Heavy-Duty Skateboard & Surfskate Stand
I wanted to design a heavy-duty skateboard and surfskate stand for the office, one that would keep my boards secure when I ride them to work. I based the design on a wooden version I saw online. The stand was intentionally meant to be robust and not too delicate, ensuring stability and preventing breakage under load.
I printed the stand with a 0.6mm nozzle, 0.36mm layer height, 3 walls, and 15% infill in PETG, so it wouldn't warp or soften even when exposed to heat from the summer sun behind the office windows. Be aware that this requires approximately 800 grams of filament. In return, you get a very stable stand that stays firmly planted on the floor, even with heavy boards – like my cruiser board with its chunky 70mm wheels, as seen in the photos. To further prevent slipping, I attached six small silicone feet to the bottom.
