Description
So this handsome devil is my little brother. I took this picture of him in front of the main Mayan temple at Chichen Itza several years ago. I'm including some of the process pictures for your information, approval, better instruction, what have you...
The main picture was first modified in ChatGPT, and then using Nano Banana in Gemini 3. These pictures were processed with the .jpeg to STL capabilities in MakerLab (Image-to-Model experiment) using Hitem3D1.5 as the processing platform. This was saved as an STL and fiddled with in Blender, where I sent it to Chitubox (I find their supports are actually removable without a blowtorch).Â
Note that the temple located over his shoulder was printed separately, isn't original, and is available on site by the creator. The original can be found here: https://www.printables.com/model/282029-chichen-itza-pyramid-of-kukulkan-el-castillo-mexic
There you have it. From initial photograph, to prompted 2D model, creation of a 3D model, meshing and waterproofing, altering, slicing, and finally printing. ANY advice on better workflow, other platforms, or general good ideas are always welcome. By the way, this is the first time I am doing this, so bear with me...Â
