Description
This is the next version of my slide-in case for the Camp Snap Pro camera, this time with retention and a lens cap.
This case provides some additional protection, and provides larger, and stronger, keyring/lanyard mounting points. It also has text indicating the various flash settings, which is missing from the camera itself.
Spring retention fingers now keep the camera in the case. Before it was possible for it side out if the fitment was lose.
You need to be aware of the interlayer strength of your filament and settings for this print, use a material and settings that ensure good interlayer strength. This is as the fingers need to flex without snapping. Pictured is my print using PLA Matte, which I would not recommend. This is as I had to do a lot of tweaking so that the fingers would not snap when using this filament. PLA also loses it's ability to spring back after repeated flexing, so best to use a material like PETG or ASA.
Other than this, this is easy to print, no supports needed.
