Description
A friend of mine has an older version of Merten KNX home automation systems. The tabs on the button covers start to fail, and replacements are hard to get. So he asked me if I could print them.
Here is the result. Maybe someone else could also use this.
MertenButton1 - the 15x15mm single button
MertenButton2 - the 15x30mm side button cover for the display
MertenButton3 - the 15x30mm double size button
MertenButton3L - like MertenButton3, but as left side version where only the lower button position is activated
MertenButton3R - like MertenButton3, but as right side version where only the lower button position is activated
MertenMultiColor - slicer project for multi color buttons, see below
On the first two images the printed buttons are on the left, the original buttons (for comparison) are on the right
A layer height of 0.1mm is needed for the details and the support-less overhangs. I printed them in PETG, but PLA might also work.
Just for fun I also added multi-color designs, see third image. They are printed with manual color-change in only the first layer, so they can be produces without a MMU.
The multi-color slicer project will need the attached SVG files, and the texts use the fonts "Noto Sans" and "Courier 10 Pitch" which were pre-installed on my Linux system. If you don't already have them, you can find them for example here: https://ctan.org/tex-archive/fonts/courierten and here: https://fonts.google.com/noto/specimen/Noto+Sans
Update 2026-03-25:
added MertenButton3, MertenButton3L and MertenButton3R
