Bobbin for a spinning wheel.

My Mother has a spinning wheel thats over 130 years old passed down in our family from her mother.

My dad made a bobbin for her on his lathe but cut the center a little bit off (it rattles really bad when spinning). Many years later as I am 3D printing now she asked me if I could make one for her on my 3D printer that is centered and runs smooth. She gave me the measurments. I say yes. I made her one that works perfectly smooth.

We made a version 2.0 that has a lot of improvements, with a tie down hole for the yarn on the center post. A grooved center for the bottom thread.

You can customize the Blender file easile to create a bobbin sized for your needs.

I am including the STL, GCode, Blender files.

It easily snaps together I used some gorilla gel super glue and pushed the parts together fast and hard and they will never come apart they are so solid.
