Description
I never liked it when nice game cartridges were hidden behind my Commodore 64 while playing.
So I came up with this solution.
A non-destructive game system mod for the Commodore 64 (ultimate).
It can also include up to three buttons for Commodore 64 Ultimate or, for example,
only one reset button for genuine retro C64 hardware.
I print PETG with a layer height of 0.2 mm.
Unfortunately, this doesn't work without circuit boards.
For now, You can get the circuit boards from me.

Assembly
1. Solder both circuit boards (first watch photos for lower board - orientation is important!)Â
2. Slip the collar over the expansion port connector on the upper circuit board
3. Insert the circuit board into the cover
4. Secure the circuit board in the cover using the clips.
To do this, insert the clips at a slight angle and press them down until they snap into place.
5. Connect the circuit boards with the ribbon cable. This also secures the clips.
Breadbin: ribbon cable facing outwards on the lower circuit board
C64c:    ribbon cable facing inwards on the lower circuit board
6. Plug the lower circuit board into the C64’s expansion port connector
7. Insert the button cables into the computer and connect them.
8. Hook the clips at the bottom first, then snap the cover into place at the top.
Done :-)
The Gamesystem mod should fit snugly.
If not, please tell me. There may be variations in production of Commodore cases.
