Multipurpose Toolbox (mid-size)

... contains 5 parts (case / devider / inserts / shelf / TPU parts)

The Multipurpose Toolbox is the smaller version of my K2 plus Toolbox. This one can be printed on printers with build plates from approximately 25 x 25 cm.

The box can be stacked on top of the shelf elements without removing the ones above. Supports or brims are not necessary (except for the insert/latch/shelf, see below). The following provides some further information about the individual parts of the box, the accessories and assembly.

Part 1 (case)

Print latches with brims to stabilize them on the plate. For assembly you will need 2 M3x40 and 4 M3x35 screws (hinges/upper latches with M3x35 and lower latches/handle with M3x40). Please do not overtighten the screws, otherwise the mounts may break or the hinges may become stiff. I also used a little bit of grease for the hinges.

Part 2 (devider)

I designed the devider as 2 parts. Part one is the devider itself, plate 2 may be printed with PLA or also with TPU (as I do). TPU parts can be found in print setting file 5

Part 3 (inserts)

These plates contain the upper and all the lower inserts for the box. Everything can be printed without brims or support except the lower corner insert. Therefore tree support should be used for this, otherwise the surface will not be smooth.

Part 4 (shelf)

All these parts should be printed with brims to avoid warping. I set the width to 10 mm. The shelf ist designed to be printed using PETG. Feet are part of this PETG plates, but also as plate in part 5 (TPU parts). Shelfes can be easily stacked. If you place it side by side, there are holes for M3x12 screws (3.2 mm diameter/6 mm dialmeter for the head) and M3 heat inserts (4 mm diameter).

Part 5 (TPU parts)

As mentioned above, the devider inlay and the shelf-feet may be printed using TPU (95A). I've done this because of the haptical feeling.

One last thing: please be adviced, that all logos on the box tops are only for nicer design and not for commercial purpose. I hope the copyright holders are happy about the free publicity.
