Description

I've designed this trunklight for a Smart -for two 451- because most of the cars do not have a light in the trunk (that's terrible when it's dark outside and you have to get out your stuff or groceries ...). You can buy a trunklight from a german tuner brabus but it's mostly not available and you'd have to pay around 120,- Euro for it. So this trunklight is A.) much cheaper (around 20,- Euro) and B.) you can use it on other cars as an insight light. I attached the light to the swich from the innerlight and lay the cabels under the inner space covers from the front- to the backside .

These are the Things you'll need:

  • 1x stepdown module (to adjust the voltage from 12 V to arround 3,5 V)
  • 1x "Power LED"
  • 1x "Power LED chip"
  • 1x Heatsink 10 mm x 10 mm
  • 2x little screws (maybe from an old CD-Rom-drive)
  • 2x cables about 1,5 m (maybe red and black)

And you will need this Tools:

  • soldering iron
  • Glue (to fix the two printed parts)
  • Heatconductglue (to fix the heatsink to the LED chip)
  • Drill 30 mm (to drill the big hole into the inner space cover)
  • Drill 1 mm (to drill the little holes into the printed part to mount the LED chip with the little screws from the old CD-Rom-drive)
  • file (to file a groove to prevent the printed part from turn away)

I appreciate any Feedback on my posts, thanks! :)
