Triple chamber PC cases are a smart improvement to PC cooling. Why are you pumping hot air through something you're trying to cool when there's cool air available just centimeters away? This is inspired by the Corsair AIR 5400 which has completely separate airflow for the 360 AIO, but without spending $200 and getting a giant case. Designed for a Thermalright Aqua Elite V6 360, but the screw holes are generic enough I think to be used with any 360 or 240 AIO.

The bell mouth design is supposed to produce a more laminar flow into the fans, making them quieter and move more air. I dunno if this is true but I needed to attach the legs to anyway. The bell extends 15% of the fan radius outward and 30% of radius upward.

The cooler sits on top of my Fractal Design Define R5 now entering its 9th year of service 🫡. It can take a 360 AIO in the top but I have a boomer drive up there and it is a pretty tight fit anyway so I came up with this. Had to cut a hole in the top grill the size of the pump to fit it through. Sticks to the top with magnets to keep it from moving around and I can almost lift the PC with it.

Hardware required (or just glue the legs/magnets on)

  • 4x M3-8mm button head or socket cap head screws for leg attachment (10mm work too)

  • 4x M3-6mm flat head screws for magnet attachment (up to 10mm probably work here too?)

  • 8x M3 threaded inserts 5mm x 5mm. The cheap ones, not the fancy ones

  • 4x 1/2" x 1/8" (12.5mm x 3mm) circular magnets with countersunk holes in them. Sorry about the stupid units. Metric magnets probably will need a 0.25mm shim under them
