Description
I’d been looking for a solution to the occasional debris left on the nozzle after wiping on my x1c.
could not find a model/design i was happy with so being a novice(very novice lol) fusion 360 user i spent a few days learning and making my own .
should work on X1C P1S P1 .
Uses the standard ptfe pipe we all should have lying around 4mm O.D.
1 plate with 5 variations, as where you push the ptfe tube in needs to be a tight fit and depending on your settings and filament there may be slight differences in dimensional accuracy making the hole for ptfe tube looser or tighter .
Print time with the extra variants is negligible so just print them all and see which fits . takes 20 minutes on my x1c to print them all .
included with 4mm/4.05mm/4.15mm/4.2mm/4.25mm .
just push a couple of tubes in the holes, cut them level with the top of original wipe, then make a few vertical slices in the tube to make it a bit floppier.. original screw should work to secure it.
been testing for over a week, and it seems to make it better.
I wanted a solution i could print without buying any extra parts such as the A1 wipe bed.
printed with PETG with 0.4 nozzle standard 0.2 layer height but should be ok with any filament type really.
the 2 yellow ones pictured were printed using 0.1 layer height and turned out very nice.
Please give feedback.
