Description
With permission from RCXplode.
I saw RCxplode's great Youtube video about making a cheap tire gluing stand and I wanted to make something similar but with a switch. I decided I would design my own from scratch using his as inspiration. The basic layout is the same as you see in the video but I have used the servo attachment lugs to secure the servo instead of epoxy and I've used a switched AA battery enclosure amongst other things.
Parts you will need:
1x M3 * 8mm screw (for the battery clamp)
2x M3 * 6mm screw (for the servo)
1x switched AA battery enclosure (eBay)
1x cheap MG945 servo (eBay)
2x M3 Heat Inserts (for the servo mounting, you could use 4x but not really necessary)
Disassemble and wire the battery enclosure to the servo as illustrated in RCXplode's video then fit the servo and enclosure to the printed base. Secure the battery with the battery clamp. Use the screws supplied with the servo to fit one of the servo horns to the printed wheel adapter and then fit the servo horn to the servo. Find a wheel of your choice and get gluing!
Many thanks again to RCXplode!
Printed in PLA 1.75mm.
