Description
We plan for our giant brick wreath on display all year around and, changing the studs for each season. With Easter coming up, I thought it would be fun to do some Easter Egg studs for the wreath.
I created eight different versions of the egg using different patterns, and a blank one for solid colour or to decorate however you like.
We printed these in white PLA on our Creality printer and coloured them with acrylic paint pens.
I've created the 3MF files with separate parts for the stud, backdrop, and shapes, so if you have a multicolour printer, it should be easy to recolour them in your slicer. You could also make the top layers a different colour with a pause and colour swap after the egg backdrop.
We chose to print these face up with supports for the flat backdrop area, and ironed the top layer smooth for painting by hand. Alternatively you can get a nice top by printing them face down on a smooth plate. The central stud part shouldn't need supports. in either case.
