Clamp Caliper Radius Gauge

This slide-on radius gauge for the Clamp Caliper is quickly detachable, works with the pocket version or the long version of the Clamp Caliper, and simplifies readings by multiplying by 10 (which I can do in my head) rather than multiplying by 2.414 (which I definitely cannot do in my head).

In the second photo, you can see I’m using the radius gauge to measure the radius of the pill bottle.

In the third photo, we can read the measurement as 1.1 mm. Multiplying by 10 gives 11 mm for the radius.

A quick check of the diameter (radius x 2) in photo 3 shows that the diameter is 22 mm, which is the radius (11 mm) times 2.

The gauge works for any radius up to 50 mm (100 mm diameter).

By increasing the angle of the gauge to a bit wider than 90 degrees, it simplifies the multiplication factor to 10. It also allows for measuring radii on corners that aren’t exactly 90 degrees. It can accommodate 120-degree corners.
