From Whiskey to Fragrance: The Next Level of Mechanical Displays

If you've followed my work, you know I love a good mechanical reveal. I’ve built everything from whiskey and soda cases to Pokémon displays and jewelry boxes.

But for this one, I wanted to try something a bit more... sophisticated.

This is a custom Folding Door Box designed specifically for the Jean Paul Gaultier "Le Male" fragrance. Instead of a simple lid or a nesting shell, I engineered a multi-segmented door system that retracts smoothly to the sides.

It's designed to print without any support material waste. It's a one color print, so no ams needed. (Although i recommend painting the top and bottom lip gold if you want it to look even more like the real thing.) By pausing the print at the correct layer and changing your filament, it should be possible without an ams.

3D printed parts :

• Top pins x 2

• Base x 1

• Top x 1

• Back pcs x 11

• Door parts x 22

• (Alternative base for LED)

Other parts required :

• 2 pcs Steel/alu rods ø6mm x 200mm long.  !!Link bellow!! 

• 22 pcs Round Magnets 6x2mm

• Ca glue.

• Optional : Led Lamp Kit 001 or KC007

Each individual part is marked with a number, making it very easy to assemble.
