Description
I bought some used heat shields / sun protection for our VW Golf MK VI.
Originally Volkswagen is selling them with some OEM clips, that will be installed by using double-sided tape.
The seller has send to me only the shields itself, but without the original clips.
So i designed some clips on my own.
My goal was to NOT use any tape, but directly install them without the need to drill holes or modify any other part of the car.
I am really happy with my design.
The clips get easily put below the window seal / gasket.
So your absolutely free to place them where they fit best for your need.
I have used 6 clips per window.
Two on the left, two on the right side and two on the top.
The original part number from the VW parts for comparision:
5K4 064 363
I printed the clips on my Bambu Lab P1S with the following settings:
Material: PETG from Sunlu in Black
Nozzle-Temp: 245°C
Bed-Temp: 60°C (Bambu Lab Textured PEI)
Support: No
Nozzle: 0,4mm
Layer Height: 0,2mm
Infill: 15% (Lines)
Wall Loops: 2
Wall Generator: Standard
Bottom and Top Shell Layers: 4
Initial Layer Speed: 50mm/s
Outer Wall Speed: 200mm/s
Inner Wall Speed: 300mm/s
Infill Speed: 250mm/s
Travel Speed: 500mm/s
Fan Speed: 30%
Brim: Yes (5mm)
After the summer i will know if PETG is enough or if i have to re-print them with e.g. ASA
