Tamiya QD rims

This model is a set of front and back rims for Tamiya QD cars. The QD series have smaller fasteners than other Tamiya cars. I tried to find new wheels and rims but couldnt find anything, so made these. They fit really good on my Manta Ray QD.

Printing

I printed mine with the back side of the rim facing build plate. I used PLA, automatic support painting and adaptive layer height. Came out great!

Post processing

Remove the supports. Take special care to remove supports from inside of the hole for axle. The fit is tight so the holes need to be support free and clean before installing on car.

Other parts

• The stock QD cars have sliding bearings. In the pictures I have upgraded to ball bearings. Correct size is 5x11x4 mm. Mine have product code "MR115-2RS". You need 2+2 in the front and 1+1 in the back axle = 6 bearings

• The tyres are for Wltoys 144001, 124018, 124019 cars. I bought a kit with rims + wheels. Search Chinese stores for "4Pcs 12mm Hex Wheels Off Road Buggy Tires Wheel for Wltoys 144001 124018 124019 MJX 10303 10304 HSP HPI MJX 1:10 1:14 1:16 Part".
