Tired of the original solar panel being constantly sold out? I’ve remixed this awesome low-profile car node so you can use any 5V solar panel you want!
This design keeps the sleek, aerodynamic profile perfect for roof mounting while giving you full flexibility. I’ve also included my custom Heltec V4 bottom tray as an extra option.
⚡ Power Tip: The Heltec V4 is power-hungry — I recommend a 10W panel for reliable performance with it. For lighter builds, the 6W options below work great.

You’ll need:
1× Top
1× Bottom (choose the device version you need)
1× TPU Gasket (for weather sealing)
2× Spacers
I printed at 25% infill with ASA
Just pick your favorite top and bottom , drop in your electronics, add the panel, and you’re ready for reliable off-grid Meshtastic or Meshcore action on the road!
Print in durable materials (ASA recommended for outdoor use). The low profile helps reduce wind resistance and looks clean on any vehicle.
