Description

This is a fully 3D printable push stick adapter for the Scoot & Ride Highwaykick 1, designed to allow the use of a 22–23 mm diameter broom stick as a push handle when the scooter is in seated mode.

The Highwaykick 1 cannot normally be retrofitted with a push bar, so this adapter provides a simple and effective solution for parents who want to assist or guide their child.

The design is completely tool-free and requires no glue, no supports, and no additional hardware.

The adapter body is printed in two halves, aligned using square guide rods, and secured with hand-tightened nuts. A built-in print-in-place spring clip (similar to a tent pole clip) locks the stick securely in place.

Printing Instructions
  • Print both body halves and hardware components

  • Ensure good layer adhesion for structural strength

  • Clean any minor imperfections around the clip mechanism

Recommended Print Settings
  • Material: PETG or ASA recommended (for strength and outdoor use)

  • Infill: 30–40%

  • Perimeter: Min 2.4mm

  • Supports: Not required

Assembly
  1. Insert the square alignment rods into one half

  2. Place the second half on top

  3. Insert and tighten the two printed nuts by hand

  4. thread the broom stick until its fixed properly

Notes
  • Stick diameter should be within 22–23 mm for best fit

  • Fit may vary depending on printer tolerances

  • Designed for use in seated configuration only
