Do you own a Black & Decker Lids Off (US model) and live in a 220-240V country (like Italy or most of Europe)?
Running a 110V US-made appliance can be a pain, often with a bulky, separate voltage converter brick cluttering your kitchen counter. This custom-designed base elegantly solves that problem by integrating the voltage step-down converter inside the stand of the jar opener itself.
This base is specifically designed to house the: LIAN LONG LLD150 Step-Down Converter (Input: 220-240VAC, Output: 110-120VAC, 150W). The dimensions are tailored for this specific converter, so please verify yours or be prepared for modifications. The converter fits snugly inside, and the base provides paths for tidy wiring.
I've included source Fusion file so you can adjust for your converter.
Integrated Design: Hides the converter for a cleaner countertop.
Specific Compatibility: Designed for the LIAN LONG LLD150 converter.
Simple Assembly: The appliance sits securely on the base, and the weight is distributed directly to the vertical walls for stability.
Printable Fun: The photos show a test print made with scrap filaments, resulting in a multi-colored look that was so popular I kept it! You can print it in one sleek color or get creative.
Infill: The successful final print (colorful one in the photos) used Lightning Infill at 5-10%. This provides enough internal support for the top surface and saves filament, as the main weight-bearing load is handled by the walls. Standard perimeters are sufficient.
Converter Fit: Make sure the LIAN LONG LLD150 (or an identical model) fits.
Safety First: When working with electrical components and transformers, always exercise caution and follow local safety codes. Ensure all connections are secure and insulated. This project involves non-licensed electrical modification; proceed at your own risk.
NICHE ADVISORY: This model is designed for a very specific combination of an out-of-production jar opener and a specific converter. It may not be for everyone, but if you have this exact combo, it's a game-changer!
