Description
The big birds hog the bird feeders and drive away the small Black Capped Chickadees. This modular guard allows you to right size a guard to surround the bird feeder. The larger holes are sized slightly larger than what is recommended for Black Capped Chickadee bird houses. If you need, you can scale the guards down to fit your build plate, just ensure the larger holes are not smaller than 1 1/8" when reduced.
There are two sizes of guards, full sized and half sized. There is an interface plate that connects the guards to form a cylinder. I used JB Weld plastic epoxy to adhere the guards to the interface plates. I used soft garden wire to suspend the system around the bird feeder. There are 8mm holes in the top of each plate for attaching wires.
The parts were printed with Polymaker PETG on an OPXL5H, .25 layers, .4 nozzle.
