Description
This is a knob cover for the Ableton Push 3 jog dial that improves on several other knob covers I have seen. The cutout star on the top allows you to spin the dial with a single finger on top with perfect grip, while still allowing the touch-sensing of the knob to work as normal.
It is intended to be printed with a firm TPU. In my examples, I used a clear TPU with Shore hardness of 85A. It is sized to fit snugly but not overly tightly on the knob on a high-tolerance machine. If your machine has some slop to its dimensions, you will need to scale it slightly in your slicer as needed.
When printing, TURN ON fuzzy skin in your slicer. This will make the knob grippy on the sides. Adjust the fuzzy skin settings to get the level of grip you want. You can use my image as a reference. You can really go hogwild with how fuzzy you make it, as long as your printer can print it well.
STEP file is provided instead of an STL to enable perfect quality slicing due to sharp angles.
