Description
The Fifne AM8PROT mic is a great budget option. I've been using mine for a while, and at the 70 USD price point with a boom arm, it's a really good budget option. But one thing was wrong with it: no shock mount. The mic is connected directly to the boom arm; thus, every single movement of the desk it is mounted to, every touch of the boom arm, and everything will be picked up by the mic. More expensive mics have a shock mount to mitigate this problem.
So, the shock mount design will take your AM8PROT microphone to the next level and solve the mic noise issue. With this cheap solution, your AM8PROT will feel like one of the more expensive mics on the market.
