Description
Our original Shark vacuum died and we replaced it, but new models don't come with this little adapter. Its great for the couch and stairs. The vacuum's suction causes little rollers in the tool to spin up and help remove thick pet hair from our white carpet, not for broom people.
This part requires that the pet tool be disassembled. It required some destruction to separate the tool's original coupler from the little ring clip part. The ring clip solidly connects the TPU printed part to the tool and allows it to turn in its housing without falling out.
The connection to the vacuum tube itself stays tightly connected to the tool thanks to TPU's flexibility. TPU is also super durable and I doubt I'll ever have to re-print this part. The new vacuum will probably die before the part does.
Part prints without supports. There's about 6mm of overhangs across 5 layers which droop a little but that doesn't affect the fitment or function of the part. Printed with an old polymaker polyflex spool I have lying around. Didn't bother drying it. Pretty simple part. MK4S structural with the generic FLEX profile on a textured plate.
Orientation: Print with the smaller tapered hole down on the plate. Only the one 5-layer 6mm section I mentioned earlier was bridging. Otherwise, all the angles of the part are within non-bridge layers.
