Description

Howdy, wonderful people!

While I might say I have a fascination for weaving, what I really have a fascination with is optical illusion. We can of course print things that have a woven form, but not in vase mode! But we can make it look woven!

The tricky part of such things is always the appearance of overlapping elements, making them appear to sweep under and over each other without creating any kinds of points, pockets or plateaus that can't be printed using vase mode. But I set myself a further task in this one - I wanted the inside texture to look interesting and not overly messy, which can be tricky when that's often the bit that's compromised in order to remain within vase mode constraints.

So, as I built up the main pattern on the outside I similarly composed a nice corresponding pattern inside, too. It wasn't necessarily a technically difficult thing, but definitely something that's easy to just neglect entirely when constructing these things!
