Description
Little printed containers are the best! I use the various containers I've designed over the years on a regular basis, but it's not hugely surprising when I find that I still don't have one that's quite right for a particular purpose. Also, they often don't have enough stylised skulls involved - until now!
The Twisty Skull Container uses the twist-lock magnetic latching that I've brought to bear on a number of designs now (including the Spotty Toadstools, actually), so the magnets keep the container closed but they don't actually take the force of holding the lid on - that's purely mechanical via the container construction. It'll get by with just one pair of magnets if need be, but it's more satisfying with two pairs.
Print Description
This print involves individual parts that need to slot into each other, so take care that those parts are nice and neat so as to go together nicely :)
Print Dimensions
The lid model occupies 39mm x 45mm on on the print bed and is 24mm tall.
Supports Needed?
Not at all! Designed for straightforward printing!
Scalability
The main problem you'll have if scaling this is that the magnets will no longer fit!
Print Orientation
The container half prints right-way up, but the lid half prints upside-down.
Happy printing!
xoxo
Sven.
