Description
Replacement for the chandelier cover, which hides the mounting/hanging and connecting hardware at the ceiling. It should work with any light hanging of 6mm cable, like the Ikea lights based on Hemma. It is also suitable, if the hanging hardware (screws or hook) farther than usual from the power line of the ceiling. The cover radius is 7cm.
Mounting:
Switch off the appropriate circuit breaker.
Unmount the light from the ceiling and remove any hanging hardware from the cable
Straighten the cable as much as possible
Slide in the cap
Slide in the cover. You can actually screw on the cap, to prevent opening the clamping bits. The first two turns wont push the clamps together
Reattach the hanging hardware
Hang the light to the ceiling and connect to the power line
Slide the cover all the way to the ceiling (you can slightly pull on the cable)
Carefully screw on and tighten the cap.
Switch on the circuit breaker
