Description

Single design for dummy AA battery and for AA-shaped power adapter that allows connecting external power supply to AA battery-powered devices. Requires some extra parts:

  • 1x DIN 7985 M3 screw (for positive terminal);
  • 1x DIN 965 M5 screw (for negative terminal);

Both screws should be 20mm or under (or 12mm/negative 15mm/positive terminal for power injector model);

  • About 8-10 cm (3,5-4 in) of 22AWG wire (outer diameter with insulation should be no more than 1.8 mm);
  • OPTIONAL - heatshrink tube of apropriate size

No soldering required, just strip wire and loop it like shown in pictures, then tighten screws. For power injector model run two wires through one of the three holes in the middle and connect each to respective terminal.

Since my printer prints hole undersized, I'm providing two versions of models:

  • V4 - it has screw holes at 5mm for M5 and 3mm for M3. Use this if your holes turning out undersized, resulting smaller holes should be fine for those screws
  • V6 (smaller holes) - this one have holes at 4.6mm for M5 and 2.7 for M3. Use this one only if your printer prints holes correctly

Notes:

Best way to print for me was turning model upside down (so conical surface for M5 screw would be on top), turn on support (touching buildplate only) and at least 10 lines of brim (otherwise it likes to pop off halway), then you'll be able to break off support cleanly along with brim that Cura will put on inner side.
