Description
I needed a Pi 3b case that I could mount to the frame of my D-Bot. I found WalterW's, looked good, and added a V-Slot mount on the side. Top is unmodified from original and included only for completeness.
To keep things compact, the bottom of the case must be mounted to the framebefore you install the Pi. I had to order screws, so getting M2.5x16 wasn't a big deal :). The mount requires M3x8s, which if you are building a D-Bot you have a big pile of already.
Rafts:
No
Supports:
Doesn't Matter
Resolution:
0.2mm
Notes:
I found that the case was a very tight fit at 100% scale, so I scaled to 101% in X and Y. This was just perfect.
I also filled the screw holes with 0.3mm of material closest to the build plate, so that they could bridge. I did this in my print software, so the STLs have not been modified. This is a trick I see a lot in D-Bot parts and seems to work well.License:
