Description
Tired of bulky screen door handles that prevent your door from opening fully?
Most flyscreen handles on the market stick out significantly, making it impossible to fold the door flat against the wall or engage magnetic door stops. This minimalist quadrant handle is designed to stay within the frame's profile, ensuring it never interferes with your door’s range of motion.
Zero-Interference Design: Its low-profile shape allows the door to open a full 180° and sit flush against the wall—perfect if you use a wall magnet to keep the door open.
Elegant Radial Pattern: Features a series of holes in a radial "sunburst" arrangement. I chose a decreasing hole size (larger near the corner, smaller toward the edge) for a modern, lightweight aesthetic and superior structural grip.
Easy Mounting: Designed with two integrated "wings" for quick and secure screw-mounting directly to the screen frame.
Ergonomic Shape: The 90-degree quadrant provides a natural and comfortable grip point for opening or closing the screen.
Orientation: For the maximun strenght print it on its side (the flat part of the "wings" on the bed), but I printed with the holes side flat on the bed and it is sturdy enough.
Walls: I recommend at least 3-4 wall loops and 50% infill to ensure the thin areas between the holes are solid and durable.
Material: Works great in PETG for outdoor durability (UV resistance), but PLA is fine if it’s not in direct, scorching sunlight all day.
I designed this because I couldn't find anything on Printables that didn't hit the wall when I opened my door. If you have a magnetic catch on your balcony, this is the solution you’ve been looking for!
