Core Adjustment Tool for the US Version (25.4mm tubes)

Building the MPCNC Primo you typically get the effect, that the truck pipes (steel pipes on which the core is running on) are not exactly orthogonal to each other. Very often you get an angle of 89° to 90° between, which also results in tolerances in your parts that you are realizing. Currently I found no possibilty to adjust these intolerance, so I have realize a tool to do so.

With this tool you can adjust the angle between the 2 pipes of the Primo Core to exactly regulate the pipes to 90°.

The Tool is partly built on the standard MPCNC Primo components.

You need to print out 3 of the core clamp (Core_Clamp_F_Primo_V1.STL). 2 clamps will be used for the adjustment tool, 1 clamp will be needed for replacing the Core_Clamp_Y_F_Primo_V1.

It needs to be said that in x-direction you will loose ca. 5 - 6 mm of the working area. In y-direction you will loose ca. 10 - 15 mm.

For me it was acceptable regarding the preciseness you will win!

Print out the following parts for the Tool:

3 x Core_Clamp_F_Primo_V1.STL (from Primo standard components)

1 x Primo_CoreAdjust_Stabilizer_center

2 x Simple_Stabilizer_Core_clamps

2 x Drag_Chain_mounts_for_CoreAdjust (normal and mirror)

This Tool mounts quite high so most of the drag chain mounts will be to low. I have added some higher ones for 25.4mm tubes.

Additionally to the printed parts you will need:

4 x threat rod M5 17,5cm

1 x threat rod M8 8cm

6 x roller bearing

2 x screw M8 30mm

3 x screw M8 50mm

6 x nut M8

16 x nut M5

16 x spacer

The following aspects need to be mentioned:

You can adjust imprecisenesses of up to 1° - 2° (angles of 88°-92°). If the incorrectness is more than that angle, you will have another problem with your construction or printed parts, that should be solved before.

But for the final optimization in my case it works perfectly!
