Description
A photogrammetry scan of an authentic Walters Art Gallery Reproduction of an Egyptian Bast Cat Statue.
I used a DSLR to take the photographs of all sides of the statue. I fed the photographs into Autodesk's ReCap360 to obtain a starting mesh, complete with textural data. (I am assuming Recap360 doesn't count as "AI" because we didn't call computer assisted design tools "AI" in 2016 and I don't think it's trained on a dataset.) Based on the textural data and the original statue, I used Meshmixer to fix the model and attempt to get it as close to the original as possible.
Printed successfully on a Flashforge Creator 1 - I believe I used support under the chin.
I've included the .OBJ with the scanned textures. There are two size files, the original size and a smaller size more likely to fit a regular 3D printer. I have also included a Zip file of the Autodesk ReCap scan output.
