🛠 PRINTING PROTOCOLS
Aesthetics: Optimized for any material. Standard Color Scheme: black frame with high-vis green and gold accents. White specimens.
Hardware: All V-XL modules utilize M3 x 8mm screws and M3 square nuts (5.5 x 5.5 x 2.6mm) for fastening.
Specs: 0.4mm nozzle recommended. Use a brim to ensure structural integrity and prevent warping when printing the base modules.
This module is divided into several files.
—First, print the 16 "Base" files (Standard Color Scheme: black). They do not need supports, but a brim can help stabilize the base onto the printer’s plate. Then assemble them with screws and nuts.
— Then print the 37 "CORE“ files. It is a bit tricky, so follow this if you are lost:
Start with CORE 16 and CORE 17 (SCS: light green). Combine them together with nuts and screws.
Print CORE 13, 14 and 15 (SCS: black). Glue CORE 14 to the base (you will find corresponding numbers on the base), or secure it with screw and nut from behind. Now secure the merged CORE 16 & 17 respectively to CORE 13 and CORE 15 with nuts and screws. That should look like a bridge. Finally secure the assembly to the base (glue, or nuts/screws for stronger hold), it should bridge over CORE 14.
Now, print CORE 01 to 12 (SCS: black) and attach them to the base (glue, or nuts/screws), following the guides.
Then print CORE 18 to 27 (SCS: black) and glue them to the base, following the guides.
Print CORE 28 to 37 (SCS: light green) and glue them to the base, following the guides. Better start from the top edges all the way down to make sure they fit properly.
Finally, print PIPE 01 to 06 (SCS: dark gray) and glue them onto to CORE 13, 14 & 15, following the guides.
— The main core is almost complete! Print GREEN PIPE 1 to 9 (SCS: light green), and glue them to the base, following the guides.
— Next the auxiliary core at the bottom left corner! print C-UNIT x3 (SCS: gold) and glue them down. Print C-UNIT LINES (SCS: light green) and glue them down.
—Finally, the Cloning modules!. Print FRONT POWER LINE x6 (SCS: light green) and glue them down into each module. Same with LEFT POWER LINE (SCS: light green), print it 6 times and glue down. You will need 5 RIGHT POWER LINE and finally one RIGHT POWER LINE BIS (it has a slightly different shape) (SCS: light green) and glue them down as well.
— It is starting to look good! You will need to print 6 trees (SCS: white). They were designed to print mostly mid-air, so you will get different results depending on layer height, nozzle size and print speed. Since it is a cloning device, the trees are supposed to look more or less the same, but feel free to mirror them or even trim them with scissors like bonsai if you wish to do so.
You can start the printer with black for example, print the plate and do a filament change to white once the plate is printed, or you can print the entire tree+plate in one color if you prefer
