Fishing Net

A TPU replacement fishing net for your fishing net hoop or net frame.

Here is a replacement net for your fishing net frame. I printed the net components in CC3D 72D TPU Filament and the snap-on pin and nut in PETG. The net shown in the pictures is approximately 20" wide x 22" long. It required the following quantities: 7 - Side-4x12.stl 2 - Btm-4x4.stl 1 - Btm-2x4.stl 120 - Snap nuts and snap pins

If you have an odd number of Sides as shown in the pictures you will need to print one Btm-2x4.stl. If you have an even number of Sides you will only need the Btm-4x4.stl. For example Six sides need two Btm-4x4's and Eight sides need 3 Btm-4x4's.

Be sure to install the connecting pins from the inside of the net so that the nuts or caps are on the outside of the net. This will help prevent harm to the fish if you are practicing catch and release.

The CC3D 72D TPU filament works well and keeps the net compact when unloaded and stretches out nicely under load. However the 72D TPU is just a little stiff/hard so I recommend a 80A-95A TPU which will be softer and stretch out more naturally like a standard net.

I haven't caught a fish with this yet so my frozen fillets will have to do for demonstration purposes for now. If you try this in a different TPU please upload a make so we can all see how it looks/works.
