Description
Someone knocked the Pressa and ended up breaking the top hook off of the device. This is an original attempt to re-create a working hook that used a similar mechanism to the original hook. My main aim was to make a hook that prints without supports or any issues (so the hook is a lot wider and slightly different design but pretty close otherwise).
I printed it in PETG to make sure we have flexibility and strength. Print it flat (either side that has the non-round sides should be fine), shouldn't need any support. At least on Bambu Studio, it does complain about floating parts, the angle appears to print fine without any issues or need for supports. I did 100% infill since I needed it to be strong. I did .2mm layer height. I'd avoid using PLA, as it probably would snap easily.
You will need a Dremel or a drill bit to get the old/broken hook out. I had tried prying or getting a needle nose plyer inside, but it is going to be difficult unless you have a really long plyers that can fit through the head and squeeze the sides to have it slide out. I ended up drilling out with a drill bit, and it came out easy. It should work pretty much like the original (it will spin like it and hooks in with a similar manner).
I haven't tested it more than a day or two and with light weight clothes, but I don't anticipate issues.
