Description

This is a parametric Fusion 360 file that allows you to generate different types of 3D printable springs by simply adjusting a set of parameters.

The file includes three different spring designs:

  • Blue spring → Classic wave spring (rounded shape, good durability)

  • Green spring → Zig-zag spring (higher travel but more stress concentration)

  • Orange spring → Adjustable wave spring (fully parametric, best overall control)

⚙ HOW IT WORKS

Open the file in Fusion 360 and go to:

👉 Modify → Change Parameters

You will find multiple parameters to control the spring:

  • Length

  • Width

  • Height

  • Section thickness

  • Number of waves (must always be an even number)

  • M3_recorrido → Travel (only affects the orange spring)

🎯 IMPORTANT NOTES

  • The file is originally in Spanish, but parameters are easy to understand and modify.

  • If the orange spring does not generate, it means that combination of parameters is not physically valid.

👉 In that case:

  • Try increasing the travel

  • Or match the travel value of the blue spring

This will always generate a valid result.

💡 WHY THIS IS USEFUL

Not all springs behave the same in 3D printing.

This file allows you to:

  • Adjust the exact travel you need

  • Avoid overstressing the spring

  • Design stronger and more reliable mechanisms

  • Quickly prototype functional parts
