Description
We have a Fusion F410 at work and have had several issues with it over the last two years, particularly with the 3d printed parts. We recently had a rash of feed errors only to find the plastic wheel was grinding against the encoder base and filling it with black powder.
First we cleaned the encoder and put a piece of tape over the worn area and it did not error out. I designed this wheel to be a drop-in replacement for the existing wheel and added a larger counterbore so the wheel rests against the step on the encoder rod rather than grind against the base and seize-up again.
Knowing the rubber wheel will probably wear out at some point, I also designed a larger, ribbed wheel similar to the wheel I made for the XYZ Da Vinci. We are currently using the standard wheel. I haven't tested the ribbed version yet.
I printed these in resin on an Anycubic Photon. It should work in plastic, but the fillets may be too small for most printers to manage.
No more feed errors.
