Description
The Heartbeat Soldering kit by Blinkyparts is a nice low power LED flasher that can run from nearly empty batteries. Sadly it wouldn't blink heart-shaped. But it's OpenSource (more background and circuit details can be found at Heartbeat THT soldering kit on blinkyparts Wiki), so I designed a case.
The pcb uses the Heart Icon (Pixel) – CC-BY-3.0, Created by Color Combo from Noun Project – but I guess they might have changed the size. Also I don't need the graphic, I just need the outline. So I've used the heartbeatTHT-Edge_Cuts.gbr file and ran it trough an GBR to SVG converter to make sure it's the correct size and modified it in INKSCAPE so it can be used with OpenSCAD for making this simple case.
I've used a PEH plate with heart shape from AliExpress to get a nice surface finish. I've tried a bit around with modifying the size, but just using the original shape worked best. Also it's good to add a few rounds arround the model, because the bambulab p1s had some problems sticking it on the nice surface, so I was able to pause, clean the bed and continue multiple times until it works instead of stopping and having to wait for the whole calibration every time.
