Front Wheel Hook
Replacement Part for Brompton Folding Bike
The hook that locks the front wheel to the frame in the folded configuration of my Brompton bike broke. Also I wanted to get some experience with FreeCAD. So I modeled a replacement.
Instructions
- Print in the provided orientation, flat on the side for maximum stability
- I used 4 perimeters and 30% infill, the part will experience considerable mechanical stress.
- Reuse the M5x25 screw and the two metal plates from the original hook.
- Slide a M5 nut in the square cutout to catch the screw.
