Make sure your filament settings are perfectly calibrated. This is a difficult part to print!

After upgrading my Ender 5 Max to a DXC direct drive and a full K2+ hotend, the printer hasn’t had a single failure. I’ve run over 40 kg of filament through it, including multiple prints exceeding 40 hours, without issues.

This setup has been completely reliable—no clogs, no extrusion problems, no heat creep. Running the full K2+ hotend instead of mixing parts made a big difference in consistency, especially on long prints.

At this point, it’s been more stable than the stock configuration ever was.
