Description
A chubby kakapo — the flightless ground parrot of New Zealand — shrunk
down into an earring-sized charm with a built-in hanging loop for jump
rings, ear wires, or keychain split rings.
~30 mm tall body, integral loop at the top
- Prints standing upright; no supports needed for the body
- Pairs of two make cute earrings; one on a chain makes a pendant
⚠ Heads-up on the loop
The built-in hanging loop is fairly thin — looks fine printed but it
can snap if you yank on it or drop the piece on a hard floor. Print
with at least 3 walls and PLA+/PETG for a bit more toughness, and
consider threading a real metal jump ring through the loop rather than
hanging the charm directly off an ear wire. If you have a strong
preference for a chunkier loop, scale the whole model up ~10 % before
slicing — the loop thickens with it.
Photos: printed in cyan PLA, 0.2 mm layer height. Some stringing on
the loops in the photos — a quick toothbrush or lighter-flash cleans
it up.
