Description
Fully parametric wall conduit plugs. Two models; one cable and two cables. The plug is very useful when you want to route cables through wall conduits, but you do not want to make a permanent installation using, for example, silicone to plug the conduit hole.
Use the supplied Fusion 360 archive file to configure the plugs to suit your cables and the conduit. See the parameters table for descriptions of every used parameter.
You can configure things like, length, diameter, cable diameter(s), cap/head size and thickness, cable gap size, and much more. Export as Mesh the plug you want to use (1 or 2 cable holes).
In addition to the Fusion 360 archive, there is two .3mf files provided, one for the single hole, and one for the dual hole plug. There's also a sample .gcode each, generated from those .3mf files. Use these as references or tests, as they will probably not suit your use case.
I have printed my plugs in TPU, 0.40mm nozzle, 0.15mm layer height, 3 perimeters, 10% infill, no supports. I set the seam position to "Random" to avoid a seam line. I positioned the plug with the head/outside down on the build plate. For the TPU I used I had issues (see last photo) and it was solved by turning on fan cooling (min 55% and max 80%) in the Prusa Slicer. I also recommend printing the plugs one at a time to avoid stringing between the models. The printer I used was my trusty Prusa i3 Mk3S+. If you have thicker/heavier cables, you can increase the wall count and the infill to create more rigid plugs, but they might be harder to install or remove.
