Description
Simple holder for electric vehicle (EV) charger with Type 2 (Mennekes) connector. Connector is slightly tilted, holds in place safely. Prusa spool is used for holding the cable, which can be pretty heavy, depending on length. I suggest printing from PETG, as it can be placed outside - and 3-4 perimeters and 25% infill to keep part sturdier.
It was designed to fit MK4 printer, but I would suggest printing in closed chamber printer like Core One L.
Colors are up to You - but because its Prusa, i went with black + orange combo :D
You will need 1 piece of M10x60 screw and 1 M10 nut. It can be selflocking nylon nut, or You can use threadlock.
You will need 2 screws to attach the holder to the wall - shaft up to 5mm, countersunk head.
You will need 1 spool with including central tube - i used printed tool (found here on Printables) for spool disassembly, its near to impossible to do it by hands alone.
Assembly steps:
Print - 1x EV Charger Prusa, 1x middle cover, 1x central spike, 2x plug small_8
1 - push the M10 nut into hexagonal hole in the holders back side
2 - use screws with countersunk head to attach it to the wall
3 - cover the screws with plugs (they are beveled on one side which makes it easier to push them in
4 - put the spool into the groove - its perfect fit so You shouldnt have any issues
5 + 6 - insert the central spike and M10 screw to secure the spool in place - screw should reach the nut and tightly hold the spool in place. You will need ratchet to tighten the screw (dont overtighten - its plastic afterall).
7 - hide screw head by the cap.
You are done, enjoy!
